A joint research with Hirosaki University and Aomori Prefecture has enabled the extraction and production of high-purity proteoglycan from the nose cartilage of Japanese salmon caught in Hokkaido and Aomori.
In the past, only a small quantity of proteoglycan could be extracted from cow cartilage, making it a very valuable ingredient that cost 30 million yen per gram. Now, it is possible to extract proteoglycan from Japanese salmon cartilage, making fracora’s proteoglycan serum a difficult product to manufacture. However, its results are well worth it.
